This Blog is Now About Fishing

Diplodus vulgaris (I think 😑)

Diplodus Vulgaris Wiki (Two-banded sea bream). Caught 2 of them yesterday evening. Have never tasted it tbh.

Water is otherwise unusually warm at the moment throughout the northern coast, so the fish is generally a bit more lethargic now, and thus harder to catch (don’t know how true this is, think I read something to that effect recently).
But the water in the bay I was fishing in is a bit colder due to cold water flowing in to it from the mountains. So the fish is a bit livelier here, and easier to catch (not sure this is a fact either haha).

The Diplodus Vulgaris didn’t put up much of a fight. Landed them in about 10 seconds from the time I hooked ’em. Easy work. Do better fishy.

One of my favorite, a little hidden, spots. Takes a bit of trekking down a mountain side to get there (but as you can see, it can be done in Lidl-slippers).

Still can’t shake my illness. Maybe, maybe shorter rides Saturday and Sunday morning.
Swam 200-300m today before lunch and got a little winded from that short crawl, so not looking to good.
