About Us

I’ll try to keep it as short and as to the point as i Can

the heart of the operation

My Mother

Born and raised in Greece, she moved to Sweden at the age of 16. It was in Sweden that she met my father, the Croatian side of our family. Together, they had my brother and me. She worked most of her life as a kindergarten teacher and is now retired (or semi-retired, she still jumps in from time to time when she is in Sweden).

From around 2000 to around 2010, they owned and operated a restaurant in Sweden. After selling the restaurant, they then purchased a second house in Croatia, intended only for rental during the summer months. This marked the beginning of our Croatian tourism journey.

the one with the plan

Me

Born in Sweden in 1983, I played football (and some basketball) throughout my life. After my football “career” ended at 32 or so, I took up cycling and very quickly caught the bug.

I took my bike, at the time a Bianchi Intenso, with me to Croatia one summer (2016 I believe). I remember getting some really strange looks and comments from my grandmother and relatives when I showed up with my bike bag to our village.

As I began exploring the region, my entire appreciation for it completely transformed. Previously, I had spent most of my time in Croatia on the beach, playing football in our village, fishing or scuba diving – basically doing normal tourist things every summer. Cycling allowed me to see the region in a whole new light, it was actually mind-blowing what I had been missing for my entire life. This was when the seeds of my dream were planted.

However, life doesn’t always work out as planned. Instead of starting with cycling, I began by organizing hunting trips. Yet, my true passion has always been bringing cycling tourists to the region.

House on Krk Island

In Njivice, on Krk island, is where the second house is located. This is where we host guests during the summer months.
(We never rent out the house in Povile to “regular” summer vacationers).

Initially I was somewhat reluctant to get involved, but as I became more engaged, and thus started spending longer periods of my time in Croatia, I realized two things. First, I genuinely enjoyed the hospitality business.
Second, I realized that Croatia has much, much more potential than just the peak tourist months of July and August.

So Why Us?

So, why choose us? The simple answer is: we offer an exceptional experience combining fantastic cycling, delicious local food, and a deep passion for what we do.

Going a little deeper, I’d say it’s my genuine love for this little paradise of mine that drives everything I do in tourism here in Croatia.

I always say Kvarner is an acquired taste, and you’ll quickly know where you stand once you set foot here. There are no long stretches of sandy beaches – sand gets stuck everywhere anyway. Instead, you’ll find cliffs and rocky shores. Look out at the water, and you won’t see a distant horizon but a constellation of beautiful islands. Turn around, and you’ll be greeted by magnificent mountains stretching along the coast as far as the eye can see. The best part? You get to ride up those mountains, where no camera in the world can capture the breathtaking views.

The locals, much like the beaches here, can be a bit rough around the edges, you either fall in love with this place or never come back. But if you do fall in love, you’ll want to return and ride these roads again and again.

That’s the raw beauty of this region I want to share.

At last

My Father

Not so interested in tourism. Luckily, mother’s the boss of the house.
(He’s actually sort of nice, just a bit of a curmudgeon)
